Greetings to you all from Kansas City, Missouri! I am excited to share a few words about how Pastor Peter Okwera and I first met and to recognize the divine appointment God made by giving us this networking opportunity. In the summer of 2018, my niece Angie invited me to attend the Summer Camp Conference in Ashland, Virginia.  It was a wonderfully refreshing time and I met so many fellow believers from all over the world!

Upon arrival, I had a little difficulty orienting myself and it just so happened Pastor Peter saw that I needed help and carried my heavy suitcase all the way up the stairs to where I would be staying. I was so thankful and from there, our paths crossed many times during the camp and the Lord began a friendship. Peter also had other friends in Kansas City, and my son Jonathan and got to spend more time with him. We have continued to keep in touch. Jonathan introduced Peter to Kansas City’s amazing Barbeque! (Kansas City is famous for her BBQ!)

I have also been honored and privileged to be a guest speaker on the radio broadcasts Peter sponsors and to share in the vision that God has given Pastor Peter for Uganda. I have so enjoyed sharing the Word of God with the wonderful people of Uganda and meeting awesome believers such as like Simon Peter Akena, who is truly a watchman on our spiritual walls!

I am excited to be a participant in this great move of God through the vision he has given Pastor Peter Okwera and I am looking forward to seeing more of how the Lord expands this ministry to touch the lives of many! It is so awesome to serve such an Almighty God! Blessings to you all!

My name is Lakot Proscovia, a mother of four, and I got to know pastor Peter from the first day of opening the church at Mashie primary school where Christ Community Church was being launched. I  attended a crusade there and started praying in his church. Pastor Okwera's preaching and commitment changed my life and I will never forget him. One day, I came to church crying because my Aunty, whom I was staying with, chased me from her home and I had nowhere to go. I then went to pastor Peter, who prayed for me, encouraged me and offered me accommodation in his compound to help for a short time as I looked for a place to live. He is a kind man and doesn’t segregate people according to their level of understanding, education, socio-economic standing, or any other factors. He even encouraged me to forgive my Aunt, supported me and gave me hope where I thought life would end. When I had issues with my current husband, he invited him over and talked to him to help him change and take responsibility.

I feel I am quite different from the time I first joined the church. Spiritually, I have grown in my faith and I am able to share the love of Christ with others. As I look back on the time of my sorrowful condition, I can only say thank you God for how far you have brought me. I have even joined the choir at church, which gives me great joy  because I know am serving a living God and I know God has a good plan for me. I pray that the Lord will bless pastor Peter and open doors for him to be in a position to continuously serve God and extend his kingdom for the glorification of his name. Amen!

I am Gary Johnson and I currently live in St. Louis, Missouri. I have been a believer for close to 50 years and have served at my church in a wide variety of ways. I love teaching others about the Lord and I enjoy doing in-depth Bible studies. I currently have my own business doing human resource consulting and soft-skills training, but I take time off from my work to serve in my church and community.

I first met Pastor Peter Okwera while I was living in Buffalo, New York, where I was doing training work with a non-profit. I met Peter and I noticed that there was something different about him right away. He was very warm, friendly, and approachable. I got to know him, found out about his ministry in Uganda, and I offered to help him in anyway that I could. I had Peter over to my house numerous times when I lived in Buffalo and sometimes Peter helped me with my projects. His cheerful disposition and calm demeanor are evidence of the grace of God in his life. Equally, his devotion to his church and family back home speak of his impeccable character.

I am still in touch with Peter and have been given opportunities to speak on his radio show in Uganda. I am currently helping support his ministry because I strongly believe in what he is doing and I know that God is using him in powerful ways.
